Self-Love Bingo Challenge

Hi there,

Happy first week of February my friend. This will be a bit of a different style of newsletter today. I am really excited to share with you a fun self-love activity. This idea came to me during one of the recent restorative yoga classes I was teaching. I always get my best ideas in restorative practices, it puts me in a similar headspace to having “ah ha” shower thoughts or the churn of ideas that come to you right before falling asleep. There is definitely something about setting your brain on standby and not having any distractions around that helps things flow.

Anyways… back to the news. I am offering up a fun self-love Bingo card activity to anyone who wants to join me this month in showering yourself with care. February is the month of love and I thought it would be nice to step away from romantic love and towards the love we can give ourselves. I put together a Bingo card below that you can screenshot or print off and join me in checking some of these items off. If one of the spaces doesn’t align with how you want to show yourself love then please get creative and write in your own! I highly encourage you to have fun with this and make it unique to you. You can go for a Bingo or for a blackout! I have written out some suggestions but I am excited to see or hear about what you come up with. I will be documenting my progress on my social media pages both in posts and stories so if you want updates be sure to follow along there. I will also let you know how it went in next month’s newsletter. I will happily be gifting some prizes to whoever reaches bingo and blackout first. I can’t wait to see how you get on with it.

Good luck!!!

New Podcast Episode

In Episode 26 of "Untangling Relationships," our hosts, Janae and Penney, bring to the table an insightful and open-ended conversation about body positivity and acceptance. They are joined by McKenzie, the creator of a local body acceptance community, Body Kind.

This discussion underscores the significance of self-compassion, mindfulness, and inclusive spaces to promote body acceptance. It also sheds light on the societal shift required to redefine beauty and body norms. Above all, it emphasizes that losing weight or changing your body isn’t a prerequisite for happiness.
